What I Got For Christmas 2014

My family usually celebrates Christmas Eve at two houses (my Dad's side & my Mom's side), but we decided this year to only stay at one house & it was nice to switch it up. For Christmas Day, we went to my aunt's house in New Jersey to celebrate with my cousins. I may not have received anything that I put on my wishlist, but I love all the gifts that I got this year! And with all the Christmas money I received, I can go buy the things that I wanted & more.

Christmas Wishlist 2014

Christmas Wishlist 2014

My last final is tomorrow & then my first semester of college will officially be over. I can't wait to go home & relax for a month & a half, but I will miss all my friends so much. There's only 10 more days until Christmas so here's my wishlist this year. Hope you can get some inspiration for your own wishlist or for gifts to give to family & friends!

October Recap

I know it's the middle of November already, but I thought I'd do an October Recap to share what I was up to last month. October was a good month despite having midterms for the last 3 weeks. November is my favorite month because my birthday is tomorrow & I can't wait for the holiday season to begin!

The beginning of fall where the leaves begin to change

Dorm Room Tour

After a month in college, I finally had the chance to put together a dorm room tour. Currently, I’m on the LIRR on my way home for the weekend. I’m lucky that I’m only an hour away from home so I can come home whenever I want.

The transition from high school to college has been great. Since first midterms are over, I can relax a little bit and enjoy my weekends. Other than typical college things like studying, doing homework, eating at dining halls, and hanging out with friends until 2 am, I haven’t had anything interesting to blog about so most of my posts will be scattered. Anyways, enjoy my dorm room tour!

Madison Square Eats

This Friday I took a trip to the city with my boyfriend to go exploring and check out Madison Square Eats. Mad. Sq. Eats is from September 5th to October 2nd so there's still a couple days left to check out the awesome food in the park!

Although it's officially autumn now, the weather was in the 70s so I decided to pair a sweater with a skirt and combat boots. With the warm weather in the afternoon and the chilly weather in the evening, it was the perfect outfit for walking around all day. This combination was something I could never see myself wearing, but stepping out of your usual style is always fun.

Highlights of Summer 2014

Since my summer ends today, I wanted to do a recap on my favorite events of the season. I leave for college tomorrow morning and although I'm sad that this summer is over, I can't wait to see what the rest of this year brings. Once I'm all settled in I'll do a dorm-room tour, but for now enjoy my highlights of summer 2014!

Vamos a Punta Cana

¡Hola! I arrived back in New York on Monday after a 5-day vacation in the Dominican Republic. There were around 50 of us at the Hard Rock Resort celebrating with the familys' newly-wed couple. Every summer my family plans a vacation and these past few years have been some of the best trips. I'm hoping that we can go to Hawaii next year for my parents' 20th wedding anniversary! Here's a little vlog of clips I recorded throughout the trip and read more to see the photos!

Exploring Nolita

A couple of weeks ago I saw Kelsey Montague's amazing artwork on Instagram. My mom works close to the area and walks by there every day. So we made a trip to the city for a girls day.

The artwork is on the corner of Kenmare and Mott in Nolita.

July Favorites

My highlights of July were an indoor trampoline park, night swimming with friends, my graduation party, lots of shopping, 2-year anniversary with John, college orientation, my aunt's wedding, and New Jersey's hot air balloon festival. A Tiffany Blue Wedding

Weddings have always been a big part of my family. I've been a bridesmaid once and a flower girl four times, but this wedding was especially memorable because it was my favorite aunt who got married. I was in Aruba with them last July when she got proposed and she pulled everything together in a little over a year. In two weeks after their honeymoon, we're going to Punta Cana to celebrate once again!

2-Year Anniversary | July 9, 2014

Wednesday was our 2-year anniversary and my boyfriend planned a great day for us. Our best dates are always in the city so it was no surprise that we would end up there. We had a picnic (halal) and went in a row boat in Central Park and watched the sunset at Top of the Rock. I'm so glad I remembered to use my olloclip because the fish-eye shots are so cool. Be sure to check out the vlog of our day and read more for a better look of the photos in the video!

Tell Me I'm Your National Anthem

The 4th of July weather was gloomy and chilly, but that didn't stop me from having a great time. Every year we go to my aunt and uncle's house to celebrate the holiday because they have a pool and grill. It's the perfect backyard for a pool party and barbecue cookout. And of course, the 4th of July isn't complete without fireworks and s'mores!

Collective Summer Haul

Happy 4th of July! I thought this would be a great time to put up a collective haul since I took advantage of the sales going on for the holiday. A lot of the pieces are colorful and printed which is not my usual style, but they're perfect for summer. I'm still looking for the perfect pair of black ankle sandals, but I did purchase these brown gladiator sandals from Target this morning. Read more to see my recent buys!

High waisted shorts are either a hit or miss for me. They're usually too high waisted or too baggy, but I got these Mossimo shorts from Target in the smallest size and they fit perfectly. And they were BOGO half-off!

I normally don't like florals, but this patterned romper caught my eye. This jumpsuit is disguised as a maxi dress, but nope - it has pant holes. Romper and jumpsuit from Marshalls.

Prom

As cliche as this is, prom was one of the best nights of my life. The event was at The Crescent Beach Club and overlooked the North Shore.  In the future, I really want this place to be my wedding venue. The view of the beach was amazing, the food was great, the DJ was good, and everyone looked amazing! I didn't go to sleep until 6 a.m. the next morning, but I don't regret a thing. My Last Day of High School

I remember coming into this school 6 years ago as a little 7th grader and now I'm leaving as a senior (who could still totally pass as a 7th grader). High school wasn't always easy for me socially, but I excelled academically and I'm glad my hard work payed off. So thanks high school, for giving me some of the best memories of my life because despite all the times I said I hated it, I know I will truly miss it.

Father's Day Weekend

Although this weekend is my last weekend of high school, I spent it with family. On Saturday, I went to Pennsylvania for my cousin's 9th birthday party. And since today is Father's Day, my family went out to eat at The Cheesecake Factory and saw 22 Jump Street. The school year went by so fast. Tomorrow is my last day of high school which includes Senior Sunrise and the Senior Barbecue.

Mini Summer Haul

I've done a little bit of shopping this week since I only have 4 days of high school left and summer is quickly approaching. I have so much going on these next couple months: prom, graduation, orientation, my aunt's wedding, birthdays, John & I's 2 year anniversary, a tropical vacation, & more! Here's a look at my recent purchases.

Filipino Parade & Local Carnival

I look the LIRR to the city for the Filipino Parade with my boyfriend and his family. We didn't watch the parade because we were to busy eating halo-halo, melon, and fish balls while strolling around Madison Square Park. It was the perfect weather: warm in the sun and cool in the shade. When we got back to Long Island, John and I went on a double date with our friends. We rode the ferris wheel, ate deep fried oreos, and the guys attempted some carnival games. This was a great start to June!
